To allow essential maintenance workings, the EAST Footpath/Cycletrack has been CLOSED but the WEST Footpath / Cycletrack has been OPENED. This will be until approx. 17:00 hrs today, Tuesday when the West will be re-closed and the East re-opened.

bunch of cop cars and vans
East side shut, West side open, currently

Oh dear, I hope the subject of the incident is OK. It happened a few weeks ago too. I was most of they way across before being tired ed back.

Major maintenance work on the Forth Road Bridge is set to begin and is expected to last for the whole of 2019.

Work will start on the joints in the east footpath from 12 November and is due to continue until late January 2019, with the [east side] route closed to pedestrians and cyclists until then.

If you think you missed summer then come to the FRB. The east footpath has reopened so it must be...
