“DfT publishes report outlining typical costs of cycling interventions ”

    There's also an interim report on their city cycle ambition program. I've only skimmed a small bit of it, but what I've seen is a bit of a joke. For example: analysing if cycling gender ratio is significantly changed across a whole city/metropolitan area after having built one cycle route for example.

    A singular path between Leeds and Bradford (the only part of West Yorkshire that already has a path- the canal, which they are also upgrading) isn't going to Dutchify West Yorkshire.

    Norwich looks like it will have done well out of the program by the time it's finished. Biggest spend per capita by some way by the looks of things.

    The paths in Cambridge I think doubled cycling rates on the 2 roads they got built on despite both dropping you out into chaos. But even that's still a long way from having any material effect on the city as a whole..

    I guess some lessons for Edinburgh if the idea was that CCWEL was due to meaningfully alter the city's transport modality by itself.
