As posted elsewhere by Handcyclist -

en, another handcyclist who lives in Edinburgh, is also currently out at Battle Mountain Nevada taking part in the IHPVA land speed record attempt for handcycles with a team from the University of Liverpool.
He's got to beat the current record of 45.68mph.

So spare a thought for Russell Bridge, a 41-year-old amateur cyclist and father of twins who will this week lead a British challenge to break the world record for the fastest speed achieved on a “human-powered vehicle” (HPV), which stands at a white knuckle-inducing 89.6mph (144kph).

An uodate from Ken out in Battle Mountain this morning - they've broken both world records!

Karen broke the women's record with a speed of 41.8mph in the morning and Ken broke the men's record with a speed of 51.86mph in the evening.

Amazing effort by Ken, Karen and the team from the University of Liverpool.

People don't understand faired cycling? (ask Arellcat)

If event is not Sky Sports with betting, then it's not a sport?

Think that's Ken on his handcycle here on our unconventional 'Ride and Park' cycle last year for @edfoc
