Techies!! I’ve got rock shox on my bike, an old ebc culling pro. It appears to have no valve for pumping on the bottom of the forks, just Allen bolts. Someone has suggested that if I unscrew the rebound lever on the top then I might access the valve for pumping up! I am thinking that actually they are just oil n spring and therefore need a full service( or renewal !) they move a wee bit, nothing that scares me, but are they serviceable or perhaps just made under license things that I should leave alone?
    Cheers, Scott

I have a Cullin Sport which had front suspension that was sub-Rock Shox. When it became alarmingly flappy and I was no longer able to tighten the adjustable dials at the top, I simply replaced it with an Orange rigid fork. I had been hybridising the bike progressively over the years and the decision to just replace it was also influenced by having received a glancing blow to the front wheel from a passing car shortly beforehand. In retrospect, I would have been better off with one of their courier models. I would hope that your model has a better chance of being serviceable.

Frankly I'd replace. I have rebuilt old Rock Shox units but I don't think the designer ever expected that to be happening. They're consumables really. Had to make custom tools both times.

You'll get a new basic fork for £60ish.
