How does 38 year old unrepentant drug cheat world champion do it?

Quite, my thoughts entirely. Would have loved it to be any of the other 3.

Apart from the winner, the race was a great advert for cycling.

Van der Breggen's ride yesterday was stunning.

Agreed @paddyirish. The crafty old drug cheat has tremendous kick the others could not match, not could Bardet get awAy, they are both great descenders. Woods did well to keep up.

van DeR B had tremendous power yesterday for sure. Helped by the road furniture crash Van V had earlier?

Yes indeed- I thought the Chris Horner school of amazing veteran cyclists had it's latest graduate finally inducted today.

It was interesting to see the difference between the first 3 and Dumoulin/Moscon on the last 100m of the climb. Dumoulin used the whole road and didn't lose further time, but Moscon just blew up.

@pasdyirish, yes surely the vast stash of undetectable performance enhancing products that Chris brought over have run out now?

Tom D was causing a furore in the commentary by zigzagging.

I was hoping when he caught them he would bomb past instead of choking.
