After the recent Adventure Show publicity and expressed admiration of Colleen's The Minch crossing in this parish, it turns out she's appearing in Kendal in November to talk about her exploits. There will also be other hardy outdoor swimmer types discussing hardy outdoor swimming.
Apparently she agreed to it a long time ago and normally wouldn't do this sort of thing, so a rare opportunity indeed.

These people are crackers. A former colleague used to (and possibly still does) be a pacemaker for Jasmin. He said he occasionally found himself drifting off to sleep whilst training along the canal...
I worked in the same building as Angela Mudge for a while. Relentless.
