I wrote this article a few months back and realised that some here may enjoy the story. It was published in Ferment Magazine which has now reached the lofty heights of having the highest circulation of a beer magazine in the UK!

Hopefully will be an enjoyable and informative read for any persons interested.

Nice. And good article. That porter sounds like the business.

    What does 'bretty' mean?

Bretty means it has had some exposure to (or contains some of the flavour profile of) the yeast Brettanomyces bruxellensis. Often giving beer a fresher, tart, or funky flavour.

Bretty is also the name people from Morningside use to describe children not from Morningside. ;)
