The first bit if it from slateford to kingsknowe caused by eastbound carriageway being resurfaced. But the next and massively longer delay caused by tiny hole in Juni green. Chaos even extended beyond the hole as traffic going east filled half the carriageway making other 4x4 and bused unable to pass.

Not a problem for the cyclists but all the single occupancy vehicles are still out there and I have been home since the back of six.

Quick commute given easterly wind but much of it filtering up inside a row of vehicles

@sheeptoucher reports that the Currie fireworks might have been a factor.

The Currie fireworks were but a flicker in the round table organisational agenda. They would have made things even worse a little later.

I left work 5.20. Aiming to avoid the pyrotechnics. Roads quiet in town centre so bashed on ip road. Arrived Currie around six Mostly dark save for the flames from the burger van. Excitement pending

Lanark Road was beautifully clear (heading into town, anyway) when I whizzed down at 7pmish.

I think there was occasionally not-fireworks.

I was only as far out as Gillespie Road though. Perhaps in Currie there wasn't occasionally not-fireworks.

There may also have been some verbal fireworks at the Domino's delivery driver who was texting whilst driving.
