A good long distance ride for a local couple. Can't find the original thread but relieved that they've arrived safely.
Twin recliner survived but with one wheel rebuild!
Bike lanes on much of the route were not available and Southern tier routes could be 4x4 territory.
A highly readable blog with good photos. Despite the 'old school' banter that Clif uses, together with Susan they make a good team to have jointly survived what this route threw at them. Quite a few roadside repairs and challenges. This is their third big transcontinental tour. Rest of time they use solo uprights.
Temperature extremes from days at 40 in Mississippi to chill winds on the high Sierra.
2800+ miles.
