@crowriver like man the choice here is also like totally non-binary, well I have short legs and a long back so Can adopt a mean tuck position so long as the descent is not very windy with minimal blind exit/entrances for farmers or golfers. So descent to Whiteadder Reservoir from top o redstone rig or shorter but Hincty West Binny Hill near Uphall.
However on the lecky bike I am like totally upright Dutch person in a tweed suit big smile vigilant etc.

Well, again that's a complex one because drag can be measured empirically.
@gembo, yeah I suppose as good postmodernists we need to acknowledge that aero-ness is on a spectrum and is fluid: it might change depending on context and the disposition of the 'reader'. Also that the concept of aero is socially constructed: there may be inherited characteristics such as a long back, short legs (or vice versa); lung capacity, angle of forehead, etc. that might indicate some degree of pre-determination. However ultimately environmental factors, coupled with individual choices within a multitude of potentials, are likely the biggest influences on how a particular person articulates their aero-ness.
Lets not ignore the aero-ness of various carrying option when commuting.
So if certain organisations use a spectrum of 'barbie' to 'gi joe' to illustrate gender fluidity, what's the equivalent for aero?

@SRD nice one on the Bertie Wooster. I never have understood why a dyed in the wool old socialist Jeremy Corbyn I sta like myself could be so drawn to the Jeeves and Wooster stories of Plum. It is I think inexplicable.
