My gym has secure bike parking. It has wussed out a bit in recent years. It used to be entirely functional but has brought in mirrors and TVs which is a bit annoying. It still seems to be mostly a gym where sports people train though rather than a gym where people go to pose and get cross-eyed trying to check out their own and other peoples bodies in the mirror at the same time.

I really hate the emphasis on joining gyms rather than walking or cycling though. This Beeb story gave me a surprise as the comment at the end is for people to walk or cycle more which is REALLY unusual.

    Curves gym

The same Curves gym that offers you miracle weight loss and a Hollywood body for just 30 minutes of gentle exercise?

I think Virgin Active gyms sold their "refreshments" concession to Costa Coffee, so people can go in, put their gym kit on, carry their iPods around for a bit, sped 2 hours getting their civvies back on and then go stock up on creamy lattes and muffins. After all, it's not in Virgin's interest for people to lose weight, become fit and stop going to the gym!

If I can have a Hollywood body I'd like Verna Lisa from the mid 1960s.

    Hmmmm or maybe Pam Greer.

Yes, defo, Big Pam with the hair she has in Jackie Brown.
