“Do people fancy a PY Dec part 2 on the 28th, back at the usual haunt?”
citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=19333&page=2#post-298175
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I repeat my intention to appear.
Tomorrow at the usual location.
Statutory reminder -
For newcomers (ALL welcome) -
How to get there - http://tinyurl.com/PY-Fri
"Normally from 7.50 to 8.50 (Morning) for most folk."
Some people hang on past nine.
will try, but will be late, as pedaling back from Stow.
0650 from Waverley for anyone who wants to join - should be PY 1000ish.
Alas now felled by end of term teacher throat lurgy I thought I had dodged.
Did manage outing to the cafe at Beecraigs thus morning which has great views and descent of west Binny hill which is super fabulous before being fully walloped.
Was also quite grumpy as had to return No 1 son's anorak to Jack Wills as still had anti-theft tag on it. Poor assistant was apologetic but I was not in the mood for pleasantries I am sorry to say.
I'm looking after my mum.
Mrs F, is having a lie in tomorrow morning, so attendance depends on getting two boys convinced to come out. If I make it, then it probably won't be until around 9ish.
Think Arellcat and Steveo claimed likely attendance so plan to risk solo fancy buns (I have a good book) - probably also arriving later than usual. @iwrats could always bring his mum.
In before 9am. Tailwind as far as Cameron Toll helped.
The smallest Fleming is running a temperature of 39C, so I'm not going to make it in.
Kids slept in, I have a policy of not getting out of bed before them. Its rare this policy lets me down.
Two person PY. Arellcat & I discussed transport policy and I maybe did some ranting.
I haven't fixed the puncture on madame's loaner bike yet anyway. Tried to get my mum to do it but she called me a 'cheeky wee [Rule 2]'.
I did two fly-bys around 9.45 on the Fuego and could see @unhurt and @arellcat deep in conversation.
Was dropping something off at Bike Works before packing cat and luggage for new year away from the throngs!
Now on train heading out of town.
@LaidBack
You are transporting a cat on a train? Is that even legal?
Was at party last week. The party givers have a cat they take as a foot passenger on the ferry to Arran.
I say have.
On way up Inverleith I noticed a cat that had been run over as passersby had put it in a cardboard box etc.
Still to find out if it was the cat from the party (it had not made an appearance at the party)
@iwrats - no complaints yet.
Thai woman residing in Scotland asked if it was a hamster.
Large hamster I said...
Turned out she was going to Linlithgow with friend sitting opposite.
Two trains were leaving from same platform and she had got on our one to Inverness by error. Luckily Edinburgh has Haymarket.
You could say that it was presence of cat/hamster that helped her get right train...
i went past @ 1050, no one to be seen - lightweights.
Delayed as missed early train to Stow due to late arrival of riding companion - bah
