This puts SG's priorities into perspective, versus the £80m active travel budget:

    Scottish government,
I recall back in 2003 when having attended test passed interview sent employment contact pension pack then sent to 3 offices to start where they claimed i declined the jobs. When I complained about not starting this third job to HR they took 2 days to decide had all been an admin error and I had not got the job.

It was scheme they had where if covered by DDA someone was eligible to apply for a job you did tests and interview in Saughton then sent contact and sent to start at an office. It seems they effectively gave leaders in each office to start in an unofficial veto .

@Edi - scan needs to come down a bit?

'Funding for the congestion-busting Cross Tay Link Road project is set to be confirmed next week.'

Vital for car dependent Perth ;-)
With lots of old money (retirees etc) the place is full of 4x4s. Handy to deal with the climate emergencies of heavyweight snow followed by warm rain etc. Not very good in a city though.
My last wait in Perth was bike free - I'm sure people do cycle there more than some cities in Scotland but didn't see any actual bikes in use.
Anyway the funds should be used to double up the rail and target electrification. Visitors getting train had to rely on replacement buses. Both our journeys were fine but still on crammed three coach services...

It will ruin the area around Scone, which currently has some nice quiet uncomfortable;assified and B-roads to cycle on relatively unmolested by speeding traffic. This scheme will create nightmarish junctions with this minor roads, which will be deadly for cyclists.

Cycle that part of rural Perthshire while you still can!
