Banff Mountain Film festival world tour is on again this weekend at Festival theatre - with Blue program on in the afternoon and Red in he evening. It is always great and some good looking cycling films...

Still a few tickets available for the afternoon session.

If you can't get Friday, there are other Scottish sessions coming up.

When I'm in charge it will be a capital offence for your web domain to be "banff-uk.com" and the subject matter to be Banff, Canada.

I propose a Pentland Film Festival held across two venues: the Harlaw Ranger Station & the Hamnavoe as it plies the Pentland Firth.

Walking / Covenanting films on the ferry, watery / fishing / diving fillums at Harlaw.

@unhurt - The Pentland Firth is part of NCN 1. Have you considered applying for Sustrans funding for such a venture?

@Frenchy I have but it seems strangely controversial...

Perhaps put it on an oil rig instead of a ferry?

@unhurt to swim this stretch of water, chased by a bear in a swan-shaped pedalo.

Quite spectacular thread drift last ywar-well dkone! This is on again next Saturday. Quite pleased to have drawn the blue programme in the afternoon as have seen 2 films in the red evening programme.

Danny Day Care, partly shot in Dalgety Bay, will look great on big screen and Sarah Outen's Home was very good, but IMO will benefit from the slightly reduced length that the festival programme allows. Some good cycling content in both programmes.

Went to the Pitlochry screening of the blue programme yesterday, was very good as always, with something for everyone.

Kids loved the kids mountain biking.

The enthusiasm of (not our) Frenchy is quite something.

    The kayaking was inspiring.

The bouldering was nerve wracking to watch.

The French search & rescue team and kite surfers were very funny.

The running and skating characters were very humble.

    Enjoy
