Thanks to the Glasgow taxi driver and two random passers by who stopped to see if I was ok following my rather spectacular crash this evening (chain snapped just as I was moving away from a junction). No serious damage to bike or rider although my hip and shin are definitely a little discombobulated. Consolation prize is my jacket contains zero holes despite a sudden impact on Argyle Street tarmac.

There was me feeling pleased at having spotlessly cleaned the drivetrain yesterday (active ingredient 'Nitric Acid' maybe?)..

Sorry to hear this @mandopicker101. Hope you are ok. Perhaps your chain was being held together by dirt and grime?

    Owchers.

However, this seems like a good reason not to clean my chain. Safety first etc.
