This is different from the Greenway that runs through Wester hailes. Sources suggesting this will be on the road right through Wester hailes with bi-directional path on the east side. Anyone else heard about this?

Nope. It might be connected to the WEATN which should be going out for consultation soonish. However, I thought it was going to use the greenway.
