Broke another clip on my Ortlieb rollers recently (cold weather?), the third one to go in around five years.

Optimistically contacted Ortlieb through their website, pointing out this was really a design fault in the parts and asking for some replacements. Package from UK distributor (Lyon Outdoor) with replacement clips arrived today.

Had some excellent customer service in the Bruntsfield Edinburgh bicycle co-op.

I have decided to get back on a bike and start commuting to work as my current commute is a horrifying hour and a half by public transport. It was however very apparent that 'Deliah' my Giant Expression was somewhat elderly, rusty and probably just as expensive to repair as it would have been to purchase a new bike. She has always been on too big and heavy for me to ride comfortably anyway.

I, therefore, decided that a new bike was needed in order to ensure I actually make it to work in one piece. I have donated her to the Bike Station to salvage any usable bits from her.

I then headed to the Bruntsfield shop and a very helpful chap by the name of Isaac made me feel very welcome and listened to my budget and desires from a new bike. I have subsequently purchased a Liv Alight 2 with disc brakes, pannier rack and mudguards pre-installed. And most importantly, a bike that is the right size for me!

I can't wait to go pick it up at the end of the week :D Look out for me on the canal path very soon.

@Zenfrost - any names for the new bike? Samson or Pussycat (as in What's New?).
