    I am putting the following in the recycling (hope allowed, especially as sending to China now barred)

    8 old water bottles, mostly from bike breakfast June events
    3 aluminium flasks without the valve bit for the top. They have been lost or leak due to being put in the dishwasher.

    I did not have the heart to fling out the latest one from decathlon. It has become dented by Mrs Garto in her humph ing of jotters as she walks to school. So leaks from lid despite the stopper working. I am hopeful that IWRATS will bring his hammer to Kay's Bar tomorrow and fix it. Just needs undented (see car donated as fake prize in father ted)

    @gembo

    Bring Mrs Garto's flask and stopper and I will fix and return. Least I can do.

    Madame IWRATS has a flask whose capacity has been reduced by about a half by dents over the years but each dent is a memory and I am forbidden from repairing it. My Sigg bottle has a big dent where I shut it in the door of my uncle's V8 utility van in Canada.

    My old sigg was so dented the lining could be found in the bottom of it by the time I retired it.

    Gembo how big are the other alu bottles? Been considering butchering one to make a stove.

    Many thanks @iwrats. Just to remind, this tinkling with Thor's hammer is scheduled for RA Morra which is Thursday.

    Cheers

    @steveo they are all small. My big 'un still works due to being too big to use very often. U can have all three and weld together?

    How small is small? 500ml!? Actually it probably doesn't matter. Would you mind hanging onto them till Sunday? I'm going to be up your way for a run so I could just grab them from your garden on the way past.

    If they're no good as stoves I'll chuck em in the recycling next time I'm at the tip.

    Small is probably better tbh, I'll send you a pm later. Ideally if you can hang them on a hook over the main road I'll have a child grab them old school rail mail style.
