I am intrigued - anyone here going? On street ceilidh protest outside NMS this Friday evening/night:

XR Rig Rebellion: Protest the Scottish Oil Club

    Friday, 8 March 2019 from 17:00-21:00
Outside the National Museum Scotland, Chambers Street

Music from The Auld Reekie String Band, The Edinburgh Uni Folk Society, The Micro Band, Protest In Harmony and more to be announced!
Powered by the PortaVibe HI FI soundsystem!

This is the sending off celebration for the fossil fuel industry!

On Friday 8th of March, the Scottish Oil Club, an exclusive body representing the international oil and gas industry, will hold their annual celebratory dinner at the National Museum of Scotland. 890 fossil fuel industry leaders will celebrate the success of their trade and network to further its interests.

A major driver of the climate emergency, the fossil fuel industry should not be celebrated, and definitely not on International Women’s Day. Women across the globe are on the front line of facing climate chaos, while rarely being the drivers of it.

Will likely pop around the corner to see what is going on after I get home from work.
