Just a heads-up but there's loads of broken glass on the Innocent Path just before the crossing at Duddingston. Pretty much strewn right across the path so nigh on impossible to avoid.

EDIT: I should add it's just before the crossing if you're going East-> West, obviously just after it going West-East !

Have you tweeted @edinhelp? I'll go home that way with my wee wallpaper paste brush.

Tweet sent, hopefully I'm not the only person to report it

I reported it too, via Fix My Street.

Not much of it left at 1810 - there's the telltale moisture-track of a brush-wagon, so thanks to the council for getting most of it.

Still, thanks back to the EIGHT people who thanked me, which is more than I've ever had sweeping up far more on the NEPN.

More today, either augmented with or having avoidance of it encouraged by a small pile of sticks.

    Gone now.

Seems to be a regular event now. Where are the ravens?

Cheers @wingpig, my ride in this morning was perfect.

I've probably removed about 4 sets of glass there over the last week.

What is the perpetrator really hoping to achieve here in the long run?

Strong popular support for a bottle deposit scheme? Increased sales of Marathon Plus tyres?

Even if you put 20% of cyclists off, there's still gonna be a LOT of cyclists using that path.

I expect they are just having a little "fun"

Due to the nice weather I took the (more) scenic route in so avoided the Innocent this morning. As I've been taking advantage of the weather by commuting on the "summer" bike (sticky slick and probably rather soft tyres) rather than the regular commuting/winter bike (Marathon Pluses) this was probably a good thing

It was all clear when I came past about an hour ago. However there was a big truck and several blokes laying new asphalt at chicane at the Hay Ave side of the underpass. I had to half carry my bike over the rubble at the side to get past. I'd give that a while to cool down before going over it, if it's not coned off.

Immediate, everlasting and irrevocable membership of the Fellowship of Rectal Apertures?

Wonder if the tarmackery at Hay Ave explains the van-in-the-Innocent-tunnel I had to get past this morning?
