Been away for a while...but thought I should report in from iwrats’ London book launch.
Won’t be as lively as the Edinburgh one, but he’s cutting a fine figure.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Welcome back.
Don’t think ‘we’ were invited...!
I'm on the train home. That was fun. @SRD now knows my niece and my pal Murray.
London's intense though, eh?
London sucks the life out of you
And the money from your pocket?
London is a dainty place, a great and gallant city,
All the streets are paved with gold & all the folks are witty
@gembo
Indeed. The contrast between the gold-plated folk and the people of Hackney is most striking. If I'd not have been able to cadge a bed for the night the whole thing wouldn't have made any sense.
The 'capital' is essentially inaccessible to those without connections.
Am enjoying my current stay in Hackney, but if anyone needs a reasonable place to stay in London, I recommend https://pennclub.co.uk convenient to Kings Cross and you can get a budget single for about £80. no lifts, no tvs, shared bathrooms, but quiet, clean and good breakfasts included. ensuite single from £120.
