Has anyone else encountered two small, very aggressive terriers on the Innocent path just east of Duddingston Road West? (pretty much the same spot as all the smashed glass was last week). They always dive at my wheels and then chase me when I come past. (thankfully their small legs really make my getaway cycling pretty easy).

I've encountered them about five times now, and they caused my partner to crash her bike trying to dodge them when we first saw them. Thankfully it only ended with a small graze and a bent pedal...

I called 101 tonight, but apparently they won't send anyone out unless you have eyes on the dogs at the point of calling, and they had gone when I headed back from my house after the call.

I think they come over from the N Cairntow bit just behind there as there's never any owners with them, and I could hear high pitched barking coming from that direction when I went back.

So if anyone else gets chased, it'd be great if they also called 101 and hopefully it gets sorted before someone else crashes and does more damage.

Explains why they didn't even interview me a few years ago when an unleashed, unmuzzled doberman went full attack-chase mode on me coming up the Restalrig Path

It was 999 I called, extremely shaken, having cycled away to a safe distance, because it was gunning for blood.

Maybe they'd have cared if the assault had been carried out with a baseball bat or a machete?

Maybe my wording was a bit stronger than what the guy on the phone said, but either way 5-10 minutes was evidently too long.
