    Hi folks,

I'm Andrew, aka abeardwalks, and I'm new to the City Cycling Edinburgh site. Just wanted to say hello and thank those of you that have recently visited my new blog https://abeardwalks.uk.

A fair bit of traffic has come from this site (thanks Stickman for linking to my latest post in the thread on the Edinburgh Cycle Hire Scheme).

Active travel has become a bit of a passion of mine, one that by the looks of it is shared by many of yourselves. I'm particularly interested in how it can be positive for mental health, but also how it can have enormous benefits for not only the individual on the bike but the wider community too.

My goal is to demonstrate to people not only how easy it is to adopt an active travel lifestyle, but show just how rewarding it is. While also raising awareness of how important it is for there to be a significant mindset shift from the current fossil fuel status quo if we have any hope of securing a future for the next generation.

I'd love to hear your feedback if you've read any of my posts thus far, positive or negative, I'm eager to improve!

Thanks for letting me join the forum, there's so much to get stuck into!

    Andrew

Hello! I thought your name looked familiar - I "know" you from Twitter (where I have another name*. Though not quite sure which is my real persona...)

*retaining some semblance of faux anonymity but suspect you will figure it out

I’ve decided I’m going to visit all 51 stations over the next 12 months.

Excellent idea. Early on in the scheme, I thought about trying to visit them all in one day, but I never found the time and now there're too many for that to be feasible.

I really like the style of this one - simple and heartfelt with oddly cryptic images.
