    @jdanielp: purr-pose-built

    There's no call for that sort of thing, totally unprovoked. Yellow card. One more like that and you're off.

    Apologies. I will try to remember to restrict that kind of language to the Whatsapp group in the future

    Today I saw a student walking a small cat on a lead at George Square.

    @jdanielp, how do you know the cat wasn’t walking the student?

    @IWRATS neither of them were actually walking at the time. The cat was sat down and watched me intently as I walked past, while the student just stood there watching the cat.

    Played chicken with a black cat with the most incredible green eyes at Blainslie today. It sat in the middle of the road and stared at me as I hurtled down towards it on the trike. The cat won - I had to swerve around it as it stared me out.

    @jdp

    Some kind of Mexican stand-off by the sound of it?

    A guy trying to coax his homing pigeon back to the loft by bowing and making pigeon noises in the street. Thought he was insane at first.

    Have been watching this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000lwqw/this-farming-life-series-4-episode-1

    An entertaining*, interesting and honest look at the lives of a few different farming families. Including some folk trying some fairly unusual things.

    Disclosure: Eagle-eyed/eared viewers will notice that I may have reasons to be slightly biased.

    Second half of this series started tonight, in case anyone's interested: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b094mqlx/this-farming-life

    A sheep at Drum estate standing on two legs to get at the otherwise-out-of-reach leaves it wanted to eat.

    Four legs good, two legs better!

    After six weeks, our foster dog gained the courage to climb the stairs yesterday.

    She's barely stopped since.
