Watched a cyclist on Gilmore Place today filter round the outside into the ASB, indeed I followed him. The box was fairly full so I was hanging back a little but this person had a fair pelt of momentum and was about to smash into the red Tarmac box just as the lights went green so he carried on into the danger zone of kings theatre junction at a rate of knots. He was however able to swerve to avoid the car dribbler coming up from tollcross and turning right a good few seconds after the red light would have stopped most drivers. The cyclist then carried on at some speed but i have the feeling this was adrenalin.

I had exclaimed aloud but the other cyclists perhaps as they had not viewed the whole thing, seemed less bothered.

N.b. This post had several predictive text mistakes I have now corrected but I am leaving Car Dribbler

Car dribbling through that red light seems to happen on every other cycle of the lights. I am surprised that there hasn't been someone killed there.

Someone on a delivery scooter did the same thing to me and another person on a bike in very wet conditions yesterday evening, although both of us were stationary in the ASZ to begin with. As davidsonsdave says, this is a very regular occurance. I am also surprised that nobody has been taken out by a right-turning bus cutting the corner of the ASZ, which is considerably less frequent, but I would say is a little more worrying again since it is difficult to move sideways on a bike especially when the ASZ is quite busy.
