    Hi,
I've got a set of roof bars which are now surplus to requirements as I've changed my car.
They're Thule Wingbars and have all the keys/attachments. They were bought with my previous car (Skoda Octavia Mk3 hatchback) so I'm not sure what other makes/models they would fit- both the front and back bars fit into a recessed hole in the door frame while my new car only had a hole at the front.

@mcairney. You should be able to buy a foot pack to convert then to your new car. I could buy one for my car so if you still want to give them away I would love to take them.

I've already bought and fitted a new set on the new car but good to know for the next time!

Except they've cleverly made the footpack the high-value item and slightly different for every car.

The bars themselves are virtually worthless.

I bodged my Mazda 6 Thule bars onto the Mazda 2 by extending the groove inside the bars with a drill/hacksaw. The foot fitting is good enough, but not perfect. So "one over" on you, Thule!

I'd be wary of attempting any bodges as I don't want to risk damaging my paintwork/bodywork (even fitting the "certified" bars etc the first time had me just about having kittens!)

I had a bad experience with a rear-mounted rack on a previous car where the bike fork ended up etching a groove right to the metal which resulted in a £150 repair.

Hi, are these for the low profile roof rails or the more traditional raised roof rails please? They may fit my Passat.

    Cheers, Dave C

Not sure to be honest- they're shaped a bit like aeroplane wings but seem to be full-height in terms of distance from the roof.

As @acsimpson replied first they have first dibs- PM me to arrange handover if you're still interested :)

The bars themselves are virtually worthless.

What about the foot packs? As I recall, the bars plugged into the Foot Pack, and the Foot Pack was made car-specific with the Adapter Kit.

After I sold my car I gave my Thule rectangular bars to my brother, but I kept the 754 Foot Pack in case I needed them again.
