“Police in Edinburgh are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a cyclist.

The incident happened around 09.10am on Tuesday the 23rd of July on the north bound carriageway of Leith Walk.

The female cyclist was involved in the collision with a white Ford Transit tipper truck as the vehicle was turning left into Union Street.

The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was treated by Paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”

That area is horrific at the moment. Packed with temporary lights squeezing the traffic down to one lane, and piles of double parking after. Also I think this is the 2nd collision in the area in just a couple of months.

    Hope the cyclist recovers okay.
