    I’ve not had anything to do with the organisation of this: just sharing the link, although I’ll be going along to support.

    Full details:

    Meet at 8am at the end of Dechmont Road, between North Gyle Terrace and Glasgow Road. From there we will follow the cycle route, crossing in front of the Volvo garage and following the path through Gyle Park. We will cross at the crossing and continue along the cycle route, along Broomhall Road and through the lane to Ladywell Avenue, then down Doocot Road and in to St Margaret’s Park where we will finish.

    Great turnout for the inaugural Bike Bus. It was well supported by parents, children and adult volunteers. I was rewarded with a Brioche for my efforts.

    Got speaking to someone from Sport Scotland, who was planning a Wester Hailes Bike Bus for 24th September. I expect they will be looking for volunteers. Watch this space.

    @biketrain

    Wester Hailes Bike Bus? Like one big round up

    Or

    To Wester Hailes High School (fka The WHEC) or Clovenstone Primary or Sighthill Primary or Canal View Primary (not actually possible to see the Canal from the school unless I guess you are Up On The Roof, but very close)

    Nice to see the concept moving from the leafier parts of town

    Indeed the towpath would work for several of these schools as a route

    Excellent work all - very well done.

    For any new ones wanting to start - I am also in discussions with other schools at the moment - can you let folk know about the cycling scotland notes and guidance on how to do this if possible....

    https://www.cycling.scot/cyclopedia

    lots of useful stuff there with significant input from folk on this forum.
