The traffic problems don't sound as hypothetical or as temporary as this suggests.
Bridge Road as a situation is a real shame. A car sewer through a beautiful village. Most of the city centre traffic could easily use Lanark Road instead, but no idea how you would force that while allowing traffic to Oxgangs.

Always poor parking in the strip - delivery lorries, locals??
Who new Colinton was the drive to destination (I mean since they shut the John Menzies, obvs it was a drive to destination then if you needed new pencils, Blondie's single Denis, Denis et cetera)
Closed to traffic we could all walk there?
