Hello!
We are taking the Scottish Feminist Judgments Project on tour...by bike!
Over the course of one week, we will be cycling 190 miles and taking the magic of the Scottish Feminist Judgments Project (https://www.sfjp.law.ed.ac.uk) to 220 students from 11 Scottish Law Schools.
"Why are you doing this on bikes?!", we hear you ask. The short answer is that we are drawing on the long association between bicycles and women's emancipation https://www.theguardian.com/environment/bike-blog/2011/nov/04/bicycle-symbol-womens-emancipation and doing our bit to tackle the gendered norms around cycling that continue to exist today https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-41737483
We are very excited to do this BUT it would really help motivate us to cycle those 190 miles and deliver those six workshops if you sponsored us! The money will all be going to the three fantastic charities - Scottish Women's Aid, Scottish Trans Alliance and Rape Crisis Scotland - that participated in our project.
Whatever you can spare would be extremely gratefully received.
Thank you!
Chloë, Sharon and Vanessa
