Observer bias, mate. Most meteorologists that have gone there to make measurements never returned.

I should be able to make it along to this on 'Saturnday'.
Posted 5 years ago # -
Going. Might be a bit broken what with hosting a social event of my own the night before. So will be abstemious and restrained*.
*stop laughing you
Posted 5 years ago # -
Hoping to be there maybe 1945 on Saturn's Day

Bumping this for new joiners. Drinks at Summerhall from 7pm Saturday 26th.
we have the room on the right as you enter reserved.
all very welcome.

Think I might pull some stats over the weekend a drip feed them out. To start with there are 6 users that have posted over 10 000 times!
And 930 that have posted at least once.

"there are 6 users that have posted over 10 000 times!"
Wow! Can we have a pub quiz tomorrow night to see who can correctly name them all...
Posted 5 years ago # -
I can guess 2 of them, probably 3.
I wonder if any are no longer regular posters.
Posted 5 years ago # -
@CHdot, you coming to the party?
Posted 5 years ago # -
Cool idea, @chrisfl! Looking forward to the stats.
And the quiz!
I would like to see a histogram of posts per users. I hope the distribution is normal and the universe is still in order.
Unless CCE is an anomaly and skewed. But which way?
Posted 5 years ago # -
Bill I am guessing there will. Be outliers

I hope the distribution is normal and the universe is still in order.
I once heard the question asked, in all seriousness 'Are you familiar with the concept of normality?'.
Posted 5 years ago # -
“Unless CCE is an anomaly”?
You have to ask??
Posted 5 years ago # -
Thanks to Bill, for a nudge, I'm in!! :-)

“Unless CCE is an anomaly”?
Have to get Torchwood to investigate! (Matrix like prog from 10 years ago. Black Range Rovers with blacked out windows being driven badly in a blacked out, bicycle free Cardiff).
In a future Scotland CCE has enough expertise to be a government in waiting. Think we have people with a broad range of talent / knowledge.

Bumping again. Hope to see some new folk, as well as the usual suspects.
7pm (although actually have table earlier - am planning to have something to eat first).
Summerhall - room on the right as you go into the building with the bar in it.
There are bike racks inside the quad/courtyard. If you look carefully you may find some antique pop posters.
Posted 5 years ago # -
Is side gate kept open for bike access then? D
Posted 5 years ago # -
antique PoP posters?
Posted 5 years ago # -
@laidback always has been when i've been there.
@chdot more of a permanent installation than a gallery...
Posted 5 years ago # -
thanks to @SRD for the heads up, I hope to see folks, new and old, later.
I've looked out a bunch of old cycling prints I did a few years back and some T-shirts that have been gathering dust, so bring along a bag or pannier to get a few home with you.
Posted 5 years ago # -
@kaputnik, ok, i bought the Robert Millar one from you, it is very good
Just heading in now
Posted 5 years ago # -
I don't think I have any Robert Millars left. All the big ones went a while ago, but just found loads of A4 ones all sealed up in plastic while raking about for something else.

“ I can guess 2 of them, probably 3.

Suspected so.
Slightly embarrassed about gap between 1 and rest.
Must get on with my new life.
