We'll be holding the PoP AGM at the Bike Station - 7pm, Tuesday 19th November. Basically this is the start of the planning process for next year - and as always we do need people who can get involved and help.

We also want to know what went well and what didn't, whether you were a pop-up organiser or a participant.

If you can't make it on the night, but have stuff to say, email hello@pedalonparliament.org or comment here

Bump! This is tomorrow evening. Hope to see a good few CCE'rs there. May possibly be in the market for a post-Pop-meeting drink as my train won't leave till 10.

I cannae, as I shall be in Glasgow. Hope it goes well.

My contribution would have been: What we have done together has been magnificent and we should all thank the instigators.

Is it now time to get a bit spikier?

Attending but a bit late as I've got a thing ending at 7 across town.

I'm covering both children so can't make it, unless anyone has a soundproof box to put the small child in, but always happy to chalk, poster, handlebarflyeratrailwaystations and so on. If anyone wants the box of excess flags they're on the top of my wardrobe.
I also have a cunning workaround for the spray-chalk stencil-size issue.

    Is it something that folds?

I bet it's something that folds.

It CAN fold but folding is not vital to the solution.

Rebrand PoP to use a casual script font?

Rather than cutting out a negative stencil and squirting pigments through it to create a positive image of the text, simply create a positive stencil to mask the shape of the characters and spray around it. Rather than being limited to the maximal size of stencil for the whole thing, each character can be as big as the confines of your stencil/mask material (or bigger, as a few bits could be joined together). There'd be no leaving wee support struts in to hold the insides of Ps, Ds, As, Os or Rs. Once all your letters are cut out you simply attach them all to a bit of wood (with a wee spacer block so that you can spray all around the wood) then simply walk around with your huge bit of wood with plastic/cardboard letters attached, lower it to the ground then skoosh around the perimeter of all the individual letters.

...in what? Glue? Soup? The polystyrene beads out of a bean bag that stick to them w/static?

Life advice: *never* allow young children to play with a beanbag with a small rip in it. Trust me.

Did you have to hoover a toddler?

Cover them with FLAGS. Also planning to use previous years' laminated double-sided posters to make EYE-CATCHING WINDMILLS to adorn bicycles, bollards etc.

If we go with Pop-up pops again next year (which is my preference) then they can be as spiky as the organisers make them. Some hints from Inverness and Glasgow that this might be the case.
