Sadly he is now dead but who knew he wanted to ride the Tour de France until taxi mangled his bike, nor that he had a string of polo ponies (did not look too closely here, possibly in apartheid era South Africa)

Featured heavily in the recent Sky Arts documentary “The Art of Drumming” - one of the best music docs I’ve ever seen which I can’t recommend highly enough. Was interesting to see other great drummers opinions about him.
