From a cycling perspective, Princes Street not very pleasant. Large numbers of buses, hurtling taxis, tram lines to dodge, and numerous sinkholes deepening around service access covers in the road where you would want to cycle, i.e where the tram lines are not.

Still, at least along most of it there are no private cars, vans or lorries to worry about. Which makes it slightly less stressful than Lothian Road or Queen Street, and a fair bit more bearable than Haymarket or York Place. But that's not saying much. It is fairly flat, which is nice.

The hotel, shopping and luxury residential development was due to open in October 2020, but developers have said it is too soon to know whether that date will have to be pushed back due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Really???

Expecting to do 7 months work in 4?

More interesting to know how many tenants are negotiating rent reductions (or trying to abandon contracts).
