I was like totally in the ASZ at slateford. Left. Lane for turning left and like the right lane is for going straight on.

A little blue polo SN04 XLR was driven down the left lane skipping all the cars in the right lane and stopped behind me.

When the lights change the driver revved up and overtook me within the traffic lights then smashed into the bus lane on the edinburgh side of the ford where he had to like brake hard as there was a queue of traffic backed up. I asked him if he like knew he could not go straight ahead from the left lane and he said of course he decking knew.

I took great delight in filtering this queue all the way into Edinburgh whilst Mr Dick remained outside the former CROSSKEYS pub - Like Schadenfreude

What is the meaning of the CROSSKEYS symbol? I have always remained on the outside of this pub, fearing the semiotics.

Purportedly the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie was handed the keys to the city of Edinburgh. (Although the event may not actually have happened.)

Crosskeys is Apartments now. Struggled as a boozer for many years.

The Blue Goose on the other side set to be developed into Student Halls as is the Skip Hire site where the Rolls Royce used to sit derelict.

Given the students wont be frequenting the Bowling Club I wonder where they will do their drinking locally.

The Longstone pubs are great places to go for a laugh and come back in stitches.

In the summer the Polish workers kicked out of their hostels have a wee Garden Party down from the Water of Leith Visitor Centre

Lots of young people are teetotallers these days. The rest will presumably head into town to the various bars and clubs, and get an Uber or night bus back...
