I'm afraid to say that I didn't know the correct pronunciation for any of these! Well, you live and learn…
("Home" as "Hume" is just ridiculous, though: if that's how you pronounce your name, then maybe you should spell it a much more obvious way (and is it "Hoome" or "Hyume")? (Although I suppose since we do have a language that brings us a multiplicity of "ough"s, well…))
It's amusing that the article itself hypercorrects Carlton Terrace Brae back to "Calton Terrace Brae", although I wonder if that name was itself chosen either because "Calton" didn't sound posh enough, or as a result of a mishearing/rhoticisation of the name of the hill?

But reminds me of something my Grandad used to joke about, of a colleague's hometown. "Is it Brough, Brough or Brough?"

Some of those go against my understanding over the best part of seventy years. I don't myself, but many locals have used the T in Restalrig.
I have, though, noticed that the pronounciation of Magdala Crescent varies from bus to bus.
Worse is the apparent inability of the Council to spell Craigmillar on the cycle routes nearby.

@Blueth - I always hear Mag- DAH-la on the bus. Whereas my instinct is to say MAG-da-la.

Coillesdene Avenue gets pronounced correctly and incorrectly on the same bus.
Trains have same challenge. Listen for the inserted correction of Stow on the Borders line.

I never say 'Brougham Street' because I don't know how to. This is a shame as I like Cloisters. (Which I pronounce 'clwah-stray' in my head.)

Surely the good burghers of Fair Edina have become thick-skinned about mis-pronunciation? After all, hardly anyone from outwith the urbis can pronounce our recently agreed spelling for the city that was once Dunedin.
