#SPOKESMTG CANCELLED DUE TO #COVID-19

    Our March 23 public meeting on Local Bike Campaigning has been cancelled.

    Although current government advice is that meetings of under 500 people can go ahead, we have received a lot of concern from some of the speakers – and it also looks as if attendance would be very low as many people are staying away from non-essential public gatherings

    We hope to put on a meeting on local bike campaigning in the future, although this may not be until 2021 as we already have provisional topics for this year’s other public meetings, assuming they are still possible at these times.

    I am personally very sorry. I had been looking forward to hearing different campaigners' tales.

    Could still do it with the panel on webcam answering emailed/texted questions.

    I'm watching a Facebook Live broadcast right now, with Qs. (Event was switched to livestream only late in the day) - not sure if non-Facebook users can participate, but they could watch & email/text as you say.

    @Rosie, or anyone else who knows. Are spokes still processing mail?

    I never got round to sending a cheque for the new Midlothian map offer. If you are receiving mail and can cash cheques without a trip to the bank I'll send it off. However if not then I'll not bother dusting off my cheque book.
