As a result of the strategic review Halfords also reaffirmed its commitment to the performance cycling market and proposed increased investment in online brand Tredz. The statement read: “Performance Cycling is an important business for Halfords and it sees a number of positive market factors which have led to the conclusion, through this review, that it represents a good growth opportunity over the long-term.

Never realised Tredz was theirs. Based in Wales.
One Cycle Republic branch in Edinburgh - not that old. Neighbour to shop has a very smart dark blue Go Cycle folding electric bike from them ...

AFAIK Cycle Republic was always a Halfords brand, whereas they acquired Tredz in May 2016.

While I'm sure the staff will be relived to still have jobs I'm not sure they will be particularly chuffed to be selling an entirely different product. Staff we have chatted to there in the past seem to be keen cyclists.

Lidl are offering e-scooters at £149.

Seen more of them around - compact personal transport. One e-scooter looks very much like another, sure there are good ones and average ones. They lack any exercise potential so a bit dull.
    Don't know much about e-Brompton.
