@gembo, looks like it. No snogs under the mistletoe unless from same household, everyone spaced out two metres apart. Doesn't sound like great fun TBH.

"I miss the festival. There is no buzz just now, it is sad. The Royal Mile is a different Edinburgh just now, it's an Edinburgh for locals."

Thus concludes an Angie Brown article on the Aunty Beeb web site. And yet, the only folk she interviews - apart from street performers and restaurant/shop owners are.....wait for it.....tourists from England.

    Shurely shome mishtake? (Ed.)

But did it improve your life? Can't say it made the slightest bit of difference to me.

Radio 4 had a section the other night from James Naughtie on the Festival's absence. There was about two sentences in it that acknowledged that not all Edinburgers welcome the festival with open arms even in normal times. I'd say a lot of Beeboids are missing the free access to the Festival/Glasto/whatever.

Not sure why 8n always new this would be an arts venue for ten years then redeveloped to flats Whilst other people seem shocked?

The entirely minimal changes to the site suggested little cash was spent making it a venue.?.?
