    The World Health Organization (WHO) is encouraging those still needing to travel to ride bicycles and walk during the COVID-19 crisis.

    “WHO endorses cycling amid COVID-19” - slightly unfortunate choice of heading. It sounds as if we should find a load of coughing, feverish people and pedal among them.

    It's better with a question mark: "Who endorses cycling amid COVID-19?"

    The answer then, of course, being "Well, nobody, really"

    @IWRATS right on!

    (That was weird... Just as I was typing this reply, the podcast that I was listening to started playing a track that remixes the theme tune that I've been quoting here.)

    @crowriver no, I'm afraid not. (Also, I had to look up your reference.)

    @jdanielp, just adding a bit of texture to the 1970s cultural references.

    I have Satellite of love by Lou Reed stuck in my head since sunday when Tim Burgess of Charlatans told story of how he asked Lou if he could have his autograph when he spotted him drinking coffee in Manchester Piccadilly Station - Lou replied in his crosspatch voice IF I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO

    Ooooh

    So I am using Shaft He is the man theme tune to try to remove this ear worm but might have to up it to John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme which I find removes ear worms. Paul McCartney’s Temporary Secretary also works but then you are left with that song which is annoying on so many levels

    Macca's lost years - interesting album he made though. Temporary Secretary a great track, but of it's time. Would be frowned upon by many now, as would original Shaft (except through "ironic" glasses) and Hong Kong Phooey.
