@gembo - Diggers selected as the forum very much was on a Polwarth axis at that time. Probably 2010.
@SRD, @Spytefire and @Eilidh (can't remember her handle) all at that side of city.
The talk was of linking the canal to the Meadows and other schemes.

The original posts from that era will be in a dusty corner of a server farm in Ukraine.

@laidback those were the days in Diggers. THe barman himself often quite drunk. My pal bought me a rum - Havana Club 15 year old and It was the last full measure of it in the bottle though there was probably a 1/5th of a gill left. I asked - what you gonna do with that short measure - he said give it to you for yer Xmas. It was gobsmackingly brilliant rum. I went home and googled as wanted to but a bottle. It costs 150 pounds.

I have dusted this anecdote down from previous usage.

Would anyone like some Edinburgh Brown or Cherry Saison from end? It's not being drunk here and has gone out of date so free for anyone who can collect.

Tried the Sandilands pale ale and 1851 tuppeny ale last night.

Both were good but I particularly enjoyed the light, almost fruitiness of the 1851.

I was given some 7% Barney's beer along with less alcoholic beers now gone. Will swap for something less potent. Couple of bottles. Or does forum think beer should be consumed at any strength and I'm being too timid? Belgian beers are often higher.

@srd - yes @daisydaisy of course! Does your second born read the forum? :-)

Last ever Beer 52 quaffing during the time trial - here is the description - Tea Party Cream Ale with Green Tea - Here are the GEMBO notes - nice but tastes like any other IPA from the lighter Beer 52 range Despite suggestion of cream or geeen tea. So infact better than I was expecting

I see Carapaz is taking it very easy before the hill.

Black Isle got very fuddy-duddy and quality control slipped. Glad to know they have a hipster-named brew that drinks smooth.

Can't recommend Brewdog Crowlers enough. Order at the wee desk at the front and get take away fresh keg beer from their guest or branded keg lines in 500ml cans at discount prices (takeaway ex VAT maybe?).

Wife and I shared a can of Triple Hazy (Triple IPA version of Hazy Jane) on Friday and a can of Tiramisu Crew (12% Imperial Stout that tasted, you guessed it, like Tiramisu) on Saturday. Quite like just opening one can. Bit like opening a bottle of wine, as we had things to do with our evening, but still nice to taste something new.

I have this very morning received my Advent Calendar, purchased after reading about it here from @SRD.

Only disappointment so far is that it came in a white APC van, not on a bike. Other than that it looks very promising.

“The estate has been sold, but we are bound by a confidentiality clause.”

Ownership of land is (theoretically) a matter of public record. I imagine this will have been done through a trust or shell company.

The threat to the atmosphere is rich people. Mr Dickie and Mr Watt need not to be very rich, despite the quality of their beer.

@Stickman, be that as it may I would rather companies buy land to plant trees that to use for corporate "entertainment".

Far better to allow the trees to grow back themselves if the seed load allows. Planting is a bit of a con in green terms.

Would likely be an interesting opportunity to put to Martin and James that they should consider natural rewilding where possible, or look to avoid just plantations anyway. If you would be willing to suggest some materials for me to share with them I can make some polite enquiries as a shareholder as to whether this is being considered (as are thousands of others). As a shareholder I am entitled I believe to ask questions at the AGM and if this has been purchased using money from Brewdog then it's a pertinent question.
