Please take care if you’re riding near Humbie as re-surfacing has been taking place. There is now lots of loose gravel on the steep descent on the B6371 a mile before Humbie approaching from the north.
Cheers

CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Thanks Colin.
East Lothian CC is particularly fond of surface dressing. I once had to make a huge diversion due to the council there doing most of the roads in the area simultaneously. I did try cycling on it in desperation but quickly ground to a halt (even without mudguards).
Yep spotted this when I went that way on Saturday, was particularly treacherous in the rain and ruined my plans of enjoying the descent.
Is it a cunning way to reduce the load on the Humbie Hub cafe (takeaway)?
Cunning or purely Darwinian? :)
BTW I did make it to the Humbie Hub cafe intact and they were indeed serving coffee (and cake).
I also heard a rumour that the Lantern Rouge is now open as well
Also the cafe in Tyninghame. The Stair Inn is doing takeouts but on the A68. I think both cafes in Lauder are open as well in some capacity.
