Garmin web services have been down for about a day. Ransomware?

Perhaps whilst they're at it they could remotely update every Garmin device to switch off that beeping noise they make every time they're switched on or off, or the user starts moving or stops moving, or unclips a pedal or blinks. I have only owned one Garmin device but I found the menu option to disable the beep straight away, but no-one else seems to bother.

I'd've been happy with finding one that could follow a route through a roundabout without the device crashing. Clearly too much to ask so back to the vendor it went.

Garmin Connect on my phone says they are ‘down for maintenance’. Some poor techies will be pulling a long shift today.

Given how long it took Travelex to recover fully from their ransomware attach at New Year - the UK website was down for almost the whole of January - I suspect the long shifts at Garmin will be continuing for some considerable time.
