Has anyone been Heriot way in the last week or so? I was wondering if the road closure at the bridge has been lifted yet

There were temporary traffic lights at it last Thursday when I went through. No motorised traffic, and didn't have to wait for it to turn green.

Hasn’t been closed to bikes at all during the works in my experience
Usually do the Granites and back round through Herriot at least once a week(Based near Gorebridge)
It’s a great largely traffic free run and wonderful countryside
I always ignore road closed signs when on a bike and only in France have encountered problems in the form of a surly Gallic “Non” from workies defending their barriers even if walking the bike through was entirely possiblePosted 4 years ago # -
@jss - nice to have that so close is fab route
I have only been stopped once on a road closed and this was because the Gaffer was on site
Out towards Woolfords in the badlands between West Lothian and SOuth Lanarkshire
Bridge over the clyde near Thankerton is closed to cars but I have risked it
Road down to Hyndford Bridge on a70 WAS CLOSED IN EARLY SUMMER, was sunday too. And signposted for miles. This did not stop a farmer in huge truck loaded with sheep going round the roundabout at the former barracks the wrong way to avoid the road closed barrier. I caught up with him S HE WAS NEGOTIATING with the workies. They let me push through. Fixing tiny bit of slip road. He came past me and into his farm just over the bridge so he must have got through (they were really just finished and putting the paint on) WOuld have been huge detour for him.
