Stranded out of Dunfurmline by 3 punctures and out of inner tubes and patches, and partner's phone not working and evening approaching after a mini tour de Fife on my recumbent
Caused perhaps by reckless descent of Cleish hills and loose stones causing slight tear on sidewall which opened up enough to allow a wee bit of inner tube to pop out enough to ,well,pop- a sort of biking hernia incident
A veritable good Samaritan had spotted me sat despondent on roadside staring at my useless contraption and offered to drive me all the way back home to near Gorebridge ( a 60 mile round trip)
Faith in human kindness restored and Fifers now held in even higher esteem
