Good to see they took in Holyrod Park.
Can't be any byelaws against cycling en masse as driving en masse is the norm (!)

CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Seems to have been a mini Pop without the roads closed?
Good to see this happening. Everyone two metres apart so no problem.
/pedantry maybe two meters front to back, but not two meters sideways (basically if you can touch someone's outstretched arms you are not two meters apart, unless you are both very tall).
/end pedantry
Given that you can easily smell someone's perfume (or post-cigarette presence) beyond two metres I'm not sure why CV19 shouldn't also be detectable and, indeed, inhalable at that range.
@Arellcat
For sure there is no cut-off distance but aerosols, smoke and vapours do not behave quite the same way.
Also detectability: Hydrogen sulphide is almost as poisonous as hydrogen cyanide but the smell becomes intolerable way before it's dangerous so people don't worry about it.
There must be a difference between being 2m from one person and being in the centre of lots of people all 2m apart
