    Appeal for info ….

    If you have ever attended a CycleLaw or similar type event, there are generally sets of branded (pretty cheap, but better than nothing) lights given away. I tend to hoover up as many sets of these as I can, then hand them out as I trundle round the city around this time of the year. So many people do not seem to realise quite how invisible they are.

    This week I have given away my last lot so on the hunt for more.

    Possible sources are/would be:
    1. There was a cycling charity I think attached to the police biking marking events who were giving away d-locks and lights, but no clue how to track them down.
    2. Sadly CycleLaw have none left, although I am trying to track down an appropriate contact in Fettes, as I suspect there might be a box of something in there.

    Can anyone think of other possible sources ?

    Libraries had them, some are opening

    Council cycling team had them

    Maybe Dr Bike?

    Maybe Universities?

    Maybe POLIS ALBA

    Assumes the shipping container got through from China this year. Not sure it has?

    I have distributed in a similar way in the past.

    I know where you won't find them - on a Deliveroo rider's bike. It is company policy that you must not under any circumstances be lit up in any way when delivering stuff after dark.

    @nobrakes

    There is an undercover policeman who poses as a Deliveroo rider on a souped-up e-bike that has been made to look tatty. He does the hot-pursuit of the bad boys.

    But he has lights and makes hand signals so the Yakuza will spot him for sure just like I did.

    I was sure that the council have been in touch with my workplace about redoing the Be Bright Be Seen campaign that gave out free lights last year. However if @gembo's contacts dont' recognise this then I must be mistaken.
