Seems to be like velo viewer tiles BUT you can steal them from other people. Involves going into graveyards late at night and being chased by dogs not on leads.

Edinburgh retired homemaker turned 10 hour a day cyclist Leonee Hutchison is second in entire world (most other players in Nordic lands) and will stay second if she cycles ten hours on Xmas day.

Is there such a thing as too much cycling?

“Is there such a thing as too much cycling?“

    Perhaps

"I never gave up. Even when I was talking to my demons and crying on my bike, I managed to overcome every obstacle.

It was originally aimed at children, but has instead been mainly adopted by adults in their 40s and 50s.

    Not again?

You want Bill scuttling round graveyards at night in a quest to vanquish 50 year-old Swedish men on the internet?

Dunno about this Turf malarkey, but I'm quite liking the idea of cycling around the place in the dead of night. Could be the perfect antidote to lockdown cabin fever...

Bill has switched to making 1000000s of gingerbreads to break the world record for that

@IWARTS Haha! Bill Harriman (aka BigHairyMan) has done its fare share of scuttling round graveyards in their Ingress days battling some other people on the internet. How many times have you got locked out at Dean's cemetery? Have you hired a boat to Ailsa Craig on a choppy December day? Have you walked 50km through the Blue Mountains to get to a remote site? :)
These days I definitely prefer just cycling about and not worrying about some imaginary points! But similar to Pokemon Go and such, if it gets people out then that's a good thing.

@gembo I counted 118. I added Szechuan pepper this year and they are good!

    @bill

I have known Ingress players and it did them the world of good. They were very much indoor geeks and that game got them moving outdoors and they loved it. Even considered getting leccy bikes.

Boat to Ailsa Craig sounds hardcore.

Charting a boat to Paddy’s Milestone. Much was that?

The Waverley PS the world’s last ocean going paddle steamer (currently laid up after getting fixed after two years in dry dock and then on first voyage out smacking into Brodick Pier)

Used to sail out that away. Very pleasant,

Once on the rock, there is the lighthouse, the curling stone quarry and the birds.
