Have decided that the model 2 guitar will be an Auld Alliance instrument.
The spar will be French oak, the box Scots pine. Ainsi soit-il.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I've found a piece of French oak easily enough, but book-matched old growth Scots pine boards? Nuh.
Have sent enquiries off to Highland sawmills, see if they want to help out a Lowland eccentric.
Dropped the Mk 1 guitar off at my pal's house. He's going to compose a tune to inaugurate her.
Stand by.
You already composed a tune I liked on it
I compose nothing, I copy YouTube tutorials. There may though be two tunes composed. Stand by for news.
OK so my mate has had the geetar for a week and oh my word he has worked that baby.
JJ Cale then Davey Graham Works for me
New track drops. Wistful Rodent Blues.
See if he will do Dargai that comes at the end of Pour Down Like Silver by Richard and Linda Thompson. THough Richard can be fiendish to emulate. Not sure if three strings makes this harder or easier??
This yin?
Yes that is the boy and the girl. not Dimming of the Day with all the chanty rasslin. A most beautiful melancholy song. But when they stop their bunnet Husslin, there is a little Coda to the song and the album for it is the last track called Dargai and it is just Richard on the geetar.

Chosen at random?
Far from random. Sheer malice.
Also The Dude has The Chops if it is who I think it is.
Jazzy
Our man has added his Capo?
So can I drop mine round for a test ride. Make sure it's me not the guitar. :)
@gembo
Yes, seems my nut wasn't quite up to scratch. Again.
@gembo - eagle eyes - impressive. I used it since the frets are basically perfect and I wanted to pay homage to the bicycle spokes in full.
It's a beautiful thing this instrument - having 3 strings is quite an interesting constraint. The playing there is very rough round the edges and not really doing the instrument justice but I exploited my window of opportunity and knocked something out.
Sounds very algorhythmical to me. Impressive as ever
@bax
I'll take a string off and see if I instantly become cooler in every possible way.
