Harriet Harmon on the other hand only got three points and a fine. Had they pursued the mobile phone use she would have been on an automatic disqualification.
One of her previous charges was for 99 mph.

It looks like the US has the same problems that the UK has in that it is perfectly acceptable to use your car as a weapon against other people but it is not acceptable to lose your temper with someone for doing it. Unless, as in this case, enough people complain about it persistantly enough. And even then it's touch and go.
